Capture CoMo Photo Contest due April 15 📷

Love photography AND historic places? Opportunity is knocking!

The City of Columbia Finance Department is taking submissions for the Capture CoMo Budget Photo Contest. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. April 15, 2024. Your photo could be used in the 2025 fiscal year budget!

CoMo Preservation would love to see our followers take and submit photos of Columbia’s unique, historic architecture. Here’s the link for rules and for submissions: https://www.como.gov/finance/budget-photo-contest/

The city’s announcement says photographs can be of landmarks, landscapes, cityscapes or artwork — and that includes historic places!

CoMo Preservation is devoted to helping homeowners, landlords, and institutions prevent the destruction of historic architecture. Original period styles might be replicated, but will forever lack the social history of authentic structures. The preservation of historic places and spaces gives people a sense of place and boosts Columbia’s economy. You can get involved by volunteering, signing up for our mailing list, attending an event, becoming a member or donating.
