Join us at 6pm on Thursday April 30, 2026 for a presentation by Allyson Ingli about the Do’s & Don’ts of Cemetery Cleanups. Allyson Ingli is an Architectural Historian with the Missouri State Historic Preservation Office who has lead cemetery cleaning training and workshops throughout the state.  This event is FREE but reservations are required.

In 2023 CoMo Preservation learned about the two historic cemeteries on the John W. Alspaugh Park from Bruce Alspaugh. We have had Bruce Alspaugh lead several tours through the park. In addition, we have been meeting with the Genealogical Society of Boone County and Central Missouri and they are taking the lead in researching who is buried in the cemeteries so the City of Columbia can put up signage in the future.

In addition, please consider signing up to help at the cemetery cleanup events on May 2 and/or June 6 at 8 am at the two historic cemeteries, Antioch and Hinkson Creek, in the Alspaugh Park.
