Starting at 10 a.m. on Nov. 4, join us on a 1-1/2 hour walking tour to explore historic Columbia’s wells, springs and industry. Learn how busy, vibrant and smelly downtown Columbia was during the mid1800s. We will explore the former locations of Columbia’s early tanneries, mills, stockyards and blacksmith shops. Your tour guide, Stephen Bybee, is a documentary photographer, an amateur historian, a novice tour guide and currently serves at the president of the City Historic Preservation Commission. some of the stories surrounding its founding and highlight its unique historic architecture.
