CoMo Preservation is part of a community effort to Save Katy Station!

All of us at CoMo Preservation are fascinated with the story of the M.K.T. Depot, also known as Katy Station, and its connections to Columbia’s history. In addition, Katy Station was one of the first six buildings added to the CoMo Brick & Mortar Project, a collaborative public history initiative of CoMo Preservation and The District that reveals the stories embeded in Columbia’s historic buildings. It’s remarkable that the 1821 city platt drawn by Peter Wright included a public market square just a block from where the train depot was later placed and where Katy Depot is today!
