Join CoMo Preservation on Thursday November 19, 2026 at 6pm in the Friends Room of the Columbia Public Library for this special presentation about the Grasslands & The Rollins Legacy. If you have ever been fascinated by the Grasslands neighborhood, come learn about the history of the streets’ names and how this neighborhood is connected to the Rollins family. We would like to thank the Daniel Boone Regional Library for co-hosting this event and providing us with this wonderful venue.
Our presenter, Linda Keown, has lived in Columbia since 1957 except for when she was in college at Mount Holyoke in Massachusetts, in graduate school, and while teaching in Atlanta after graduation from Mount Holyoke. She was always interested in history and genealogy and became curious about the street names in the Grasslands and decided to find out their origins. She found the State Historical Society of Missouri to be an invaluable source of information.
Thank you to Veterans United Foundation for their generous support!
